Born in a Menlo Park Backyard
In 1948, David and Elvira (Gussie) Guy founded Guy Plumbing & Heating out of their backyard in West Menlo Park. From their very first day, the mission was simple: deliver the highest standard of service at a fair, honest price.
Over the next seven decades, GP&H caretakers have included four of David and Elvira’s children, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, plus many spouses and long-time employees that have become like family. The Guys are still providing that same old-time customer service, right down to real humans answering the phone.
Knowledge Passed Down, Never Diluted.
Over the decades, the Peninsula changed, but our core principles never wavered. As David and Gussie’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren joined the company, our hard-earned mechanical expertise was passed down from one generation to the next.
Today, alongside our long-time employees, who are every bit a part of the Guy family, we protect the same heritage of honesty and elite skill that started it all. We don’t cut corners, we don’t look for the most profitable shortcut, and we treat every home like it belongs to our own neighbors.
